In 2010 KS3 SATs tests were scrapped. KS3 SATs papers have been replaced with formal teacher assessments in each of the National Curriculum subjects: English; Maths; Science; History; Geography; modern foreign languages (French; German and Spanish); Design and Technology; ICT; Art and Design; Music; Physical Education; Citizenship, and Religious Education. However the KS3 tests are useful to track the progress of children and are often used in schools, particularly during end of year exams. SATs papers from level 4-6 can be used for 2021 SATs preparation.
